How to Find Out What Is Happening in PCB This Season

A lot of PCB trips end up built around what is happening in town that week rather than the other way around, and that is usually the better order to plan in.

What runs here

The calendar mixes recurring annual favorites with one-off shows and community events. The names that come back every year are the ones worth planning around.

Some events are free and open to anybody. Others need tickets bought well ahead.

Why it is worth planning around

If there is a specific event you want to catch, it can decide which week you book. And if your dates are flexible, checking the calendar first can turn a plain beach week into a trip with a headliner in the middle of it.

How to stay current

Dates and lineups shift year to year, so use the current events page rather than something you remember from a past visit. Bookmark it if you are planning early and check back as your dates get close, because things get added.

Two tips

Lodging and parking near event venues fill up fastest for the biggest annual draws, so book those pieces first if an event is the reason for the trip. And for anything ticketed, buy ahead. Showing up expecting door tickets is how people end up listening from the parking lot.

Local tip.  For the big beach concerts, park a few blocks back and walk in. The lot closest to the venue takes forty five minutes to empty after the last song, and you will be sitting in it.
