Where to Start With a Weekend in Panama City Beach
A weekend in PCB does not need a minute-by-minute plan. It does need a loose shape, especially if you want to fit in one real activity beyond lying on the sand.
Day one, get in the water
Take the morning to settle in, then give the bulk of the day to the beach. If you are doing one water activity on this trip, a dolphin tour, a Shell Island run, jet skis, book it for day one afternoon. Waiting until Sunday means competing with everyone else who waited.
Day two, mix it up
Day two is for everything the beach alone does not cover. Pier Park for shopping and food. An indoor stop if anybody has had enough sun. Or a second water activity if the first one landed. Check the events page too, since concerts and festivals cluster on weekends and you may be a ten minute drive from something worth going to.
Evenings
PCB runs the full range in the evening, from easygoing family spots to a much livelier scene closer to the beach. Decide which one you are in the mood for before you get in the car, so you are not burning an hour of your Saturday night figuring it out in a parking lot.
Practical notes
Beach parking near the main access points fills by late morning in peak season. Arriving early solves that better than any strategy for finding a spot at noon. And check the coupons page before you book a paid activity, because the popular ones rotate offers.
Local tip. Two days means one sunset, so protect it. Pick your spot on day one, be there thirty minutes early, and do not schedule anything that could run late into it.
